Modules & access

Fix missing module access or permissions

Understand role permissions, user overrides, record scope, and requests for additional access.

Before you start

An administrator for permission changes, or your own account to request access.

Where to goPermissions
01

Identify the missing action

Check whether you need View, Create, Edit, Delete, Import, or Export access. These are separate permissions.

02

Review the role

Ask an administrator to open Permissions, select the relevant role, and review the module's action permissions.

03

Check user overrides and record scope

Review the affected user's overrides. Check whether record scope is assigned records or all records; access to a module does not necessarily grant access to every record.

04

Request the access you need

If you are not an administrator, select the module and required actions in the access request controls. An administrator can approve or reject the request.

05

Check the affected account again

After approval or a permission update, refresh access and try the same action from the affected user's account.

What success looks like

The user can perform the intended action and sees records within the configured scope.

If something goes wrong

  • Check the user's assigned role as well as user-specific overrides.
  • If only some records are missing, review assigned-record scope.
  • Give support the module and action that failed, without sharing passwords or tokens.
