Configure website access to CRM data

Choose allowed domains, module rules, lookup fields, and visible fields for your website integration.

Before you start

An administrator and a website developer who can review the data and actions the website should expose.

Where to goConfig → Website integration
01

Define the website's purpose

Decide which customer lookup or record workflow the website needs. Open the website integration settings and enter an integration name and the allowed website domains.

02

Choose modules and fields deliberately

Add a module rule. Set its Public API name, lookup fields, and visible output fields. Include only the fields needed for this website workflow.

03

Review permitted API methods

Review each method before enabling it. The interface distinguishes reading form fields, looking up customers, updating matched records, and deleting matched records. Only enable actions the website genuinely needs.

04

Save and review the integration state

Save the configuration. Public APIs remain paused until website access is enabled and saved. Have your developer review the generated endpoints or embed and handle integration credentials appropriately.

05

Test with sample data

Test from an allowed website domain and check that only the intended fields and actions are available. Use sample records when checking update or delete behaviour.

What success looks like

The intended website workflow works with the saved rules and only returns the selected output fields.

If something goes wrong

  • If an endpoint reports that website integration is not enabled, review the saved integration state.
  • If lookup fails, check the module rule, lookup fields, domain, and request details.
  • If information is missing, review visible fields before expanding what the website exposes.
