Connect MongoDB sources to CRM modules
Add a MongoDB source, check collections, and import the collections you need as modules.
Before you start
Configuration access, an authorised database connection, and network access for the backend server.
Prepare the database connection
Ask your database administrator for a user with read access to the intended databases and a connection string. Allow the CRM backend server's network access to the source.
Add the source
In MongoDB Sources, choose Add MongoDB URL. Enter a recognisable source name, the complete MongoDB URL, and the Default Database.
Save and verify
Save the configuration and run Test connection for the source. Resolve connection errors before proceeding.
Review the collections
Load the collections and inspect the previews. Select only the collections you intend to make available as CRM modules.
Import and check the result
Start the collection import and review the job result. Check the resulting module, fields, and record counts, then review user permissions before sharing access.
What success looks like
The source connects and the selected collections appear as CRM modules with the expected fields and records.
If something goes wrong
- Check the database name, connection string, and database user's access.
- Confirm that the backend server is allowed by the database network rules.
- Refresh the connection before conversion or field sync if the interface requests it. Review failed-job details before retrying.
